Types of Close Encounters
- Close Encounter of the First Kind (CE1) - A UFO is within about 500 feet of the witness
- Close Encounter of the Second Kind (CE2) - A UFO leaves markings on the ground, causes burns or paralysis,
scares animals, interferes with TV and radio signals.
- Close Encounter of the Third Kind (CE3) - Occupants are viewed on the UFO.
- Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind (CE4) - An abduction case.
- Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind (CE5) - Communication occurs between aliens and humans.
